About Casual Criminalist

Casual Criminalist is a true crime, investigations, and criminal justice publication — the YouTube companion site to Simon Whistler's Casual Criminalist channel. We publish deep-dive articles and video content covering true crime, criminal investigations, criminal justice, and forensic science, together with the human dimensions of cases from around the world.

The channel is presented by Simon Whistler, one of YouTube's most prolific educational creators, and is part of the wider Whistlerverse Network of channels. All editorial content on the Site is free to read; readers can also sign up for our newsletter and browse the Casual Criminalist merchandise store.
